Sugar Cookies
2 Cups sugar
1 cup margarine
3 eggs
6 tablespoons milk
5 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 teaspoons baking power
Prepare oven to 350 degrees:
Cream together sugar, margarine, eggs and milk until well combined.
Add flour, salt and baking powder until just combined. Liberally flour a work surface & rolling pin. Roll out about 1/4 of the dough at a time to 3/8 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters & place on very lightly greased cookie sheet. Cook 10 minutes until cookies are just done. Remove from pan immediately and frost when cooled.
Frosting:
1/4 cup butter, softened, dash of salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons milk
4 oz cream cheese, softened
Soften butter and cream cheese, them blend together with remaining frosting ingredients. Tint with food coloring if desired.
Enjoy the view.

We would like to introduce you to our newest employee Christopher Elliott. Christopher resides in Grantsville with his wife Rachel, and his two children Ava and Anthony. He is Cub-Master for pack 460 Cub Scouts in Grantsville. He is a member of the Grantsville Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. He coaches baseball & basketball teams for the youth in the our area. He will assist the Highland Thrift Shop in its mission to help people in the surrounding tri-state area. He attends Cherry Glade Mennonite Church.

Recipe: 🍎
Apple Crisp

Ingredients:
21/2  C apples - peeled, cored, and sliced
1 C sifted all-purpose flour
1 C white sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C butter, softened
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lightly grease a 8 inch square pan.
Arrange apple slices evenly in prepared baking dish. Sift flour, sugar cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal; sprinkle over apples.
Bake in preheated oven until topping is golden, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool slightly.

Recipe: Easy Chicken Casserole
1 pkg. Stove Top stuffing mix 
1 1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
1 pkg. 16oz. frozen mixed vegetables, drained
1 can 10 3/4 oz. condensed cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup Breakstone's sour cream
Heat oven to 400
Prepare stuffing as directed on package
Combine remaining ingredients in 13x9 baking pan
Bake for 30 minutes or until stuffing is golden
